Certified German teachers and native speakers with teaching experience instruct the students and provide a wide variety of exercises and examples to facilitate understanding and create a challenging yet relaxed and entertaining atmosphere.
Children in higher level classes can take the American-based AATG test or the German-based ZfA test. All tests are on a voluntary basis. Please make sure to sign up your child when the school sends you the information.
Germany's rich culture, varied history and helpful innovations are always part of the syllabus of each class. Students will gain more awareness and insight into German life in the present and the past.
The German School Association of St. Louis provides affordable German language classes for children. The classes are presented by highly qualified teachers who enjoy teaching children. After an initial evaluation by a teacher, children are assigned to appropriate classes according to their skill level and age. Children work from textbooks and workbooks purchased from the school. Since language must be practiced continually, homework is assigned each Saturday.
The German School Association of St. Louis provides several German language classes for adults. Classes are taught by highly motivated and experienced teachers, most of whom are native German speakers or Americans with an extensive background in German and prolonged stays in Germany.
